Chris and the group,

If you only have an instability problem on 80 meters, and like steve said, if 
the crystal (7.5mhz) is okay try cleaning the band switch wafers.

I’ve had a few older triton IIs and some Triton VIs that exhibit that behavior. 
The problem was traced to the band switch.
