Actually I did that with my Orion. I made a 45 mhz to 9 mhz converter
for the sub-receiver so I could get general coverage to LPPan and
PowerSDRIF. The Orion sub-receiver is basically a Jupiter receiver.
But my point was for the a panadapter for the Jupiter, just run a
panadapter radio on the same frequency and share antennas.

A 45 MHz IF is not the end of the world.... my first choice would be to use
a higher end Dongle with 12 bit resolution (cheaper Dongles are only 8
bit.) They'll at least give you a usable, if not fancy, panoramic display.
If you are technically inclined, it is also possible to use a simple down
converter to bring the 45 MHz 1st IF down into a HF range that is usable
with the L-PAN2 or other similar panoramic adapters.
