I'd take off the top cover as well as the cover of the time base circuit, then ONE at a time, remove a connector, sparingly apply DEOXIT to the exposed pins, and replace the connector, of all connections of the display, time base circuit, frequency counter, VFO, and peripheral circuits. The other thing to try is exercise the band switch 10 or 20 times to clean the contacts.
