The 44 ft OCFD experiment has been taken down, to tweeky in tuning,
never bothered to "measure it" with the MFJ-259 - sorry. Went back to
the plan old 34 ft doublet because it seems to load up so much better.
Still using the 1:1 DXE current balun (thank you for all the tips).
Going to stick with this antenna for the remainder of this contest/qso
party season. The only change coming is a possible upgrade to a 1.5kW
remote auto tuner. (I have a L4B with a full QSK mod).

Don, you put me on the spot here.
I have never tried a 44' OCFD.
I have tried both the 66' and 132' OCFD fed at that split, fed with open
wire, but not the 44'.
I don't like to comment on things that I have not actually tried myself.

I like the 44ft doublet idea.
But I would like to try the OCF method mentioned by Rick DJ0IP.
Sounds like for a 44 ft OCF antenna the feed point would be 19ft/25ft.
Correct?
Hoping I can get 10M to play better and would like better efficiency as
compared to a 34 doublet on 30M.
