Initially seems like a RFI issue to me.

1. Try it on a known good dummy load with a known good jumper between the radio and the load.

2. Make sure the DC power connections and connectors, both on the cable and at the radio are solid, clean and tight.

3. Make sure the power supply voltage is correct at the radio and thus the PS regulator is not falling out of regulation.

If it works on #1 then it is likely the antenna or the associated jumpers connecting various pieces of equipment.

I am going thru a variety of projects presently and am now at the omni V ...it seems on most bands above 80 m if I increase power to past 3/4 point the display blanks out and it gets stuck in tx mode...as though swamped with RF...I have the new chip 9.v2 ...I have to turn the rig off in order to reset the controls...any ideas or similar experience?

Kind regards
