The biggest drawback on the Eagle (for me) is that many good contest logging
software packages still don't fully support it.
I think the problem is the USB (rather than serial) connection to the radio.
Over here we use Win-Test a lot.
And before you guys come with use N1MM etc., I would remind you that we have
a different set of contests here with different rules and most US software
packages don't include many of our contests.
AND, Win-Test is using Omni-Rig for its radio communications, which I
believe is written in the US anyway.
MAYBE SOMEONE AT TEN-TEC should look into this before they place too many
eggs in one basket.

Exercise the 30 day return policy. I'm sure when returned it won't be on
the list more than 10 minutes before someone snaps it up. For the money it
is still the best radio on the market.
For those wanting to purchase a good radio in place of the Orion II, the
Eagle has very near the same level of performance, it is smaller, covers 6M
and is about 1/2 the price.
Better yet, buy two of them and you'll have dual receivers, dual
transmitters and thus a full back-up radio for about the same price as the
Orion II and combined, and in a smaller desktop space.
