Thanks all, no issues without paddles plugged in, cables good, grounding
good. Straight key works fine, paddles work fine most of the time.
Reflector indicated lot of folks had similar issue number of years ago.
Sometimes the keyer chip was replaced to solve the problem. I have an email
out to ellow in UK who had dialog about identical problem to see whether he
ever resolved it.
