I'm with you, Ray.
Watching TV on a small screen was what we did in the early 1950's.
As an Eagle owner, my list is short: Improve the NR.
As for the other TT radios, I'm sure there are performance related things
that could be done, rather than improving their TV reception.
Honestly, since the Band Map (software feature) emerged with clickable,
useful data on the screen, who wants to watch Green Noise? ;-)

I would like to comment on the way the S-meter works on the newer radios.
I think it is wonderful to be able to adjust preamp, ATT, or RF Gain to
achieve the best reception, yet still be able to read the guy's signal
strength on a relatively accurate S-meter. That was an outstanding new
feature in my books! WELL DONE TEN-TEC.
