Yeah.... sounds to the operator like he has his fingers in his ears...
and he tends to shout (like kids sing loudly and off key when wearing
ear buds...)
Also, If you have an outboard audio filter, like the Timewave DSP599zx,
you can also listen to speakers and headphones at once. Sometimes you
can port the audio out (either phones or speakers or Line-Out) to a
computer sound card, and use the multiple speaker jacks on it for both a
set of headphones and a set of powered computer speakers or studio
monitors, which also lets you record the QSO - such as recording Field
Day activities.
