Thanks, Jim. Same here. A big DXpedition may crowd all of 10khZ rcv freq. That
leaves plenty of space for lots of calls. As for contests, I'm part of the
problem. Even then, I hear several rag chews going on, on most bands as I
search & pounce.

I'm primarily a CW guy, Extra since 1959, but I can't understand the
complaining -- except during a contest, it's rare to find more than a
handful of signals on the CW bands at any given time. And the current
Extra exam is quite easy compared to what it was when I took it, and
there's no CW requirement.
