Rick and all, I had an 80-meter dipole with balanced feedline at my old NJ QTH. I fed it with a Heathkit 2060A tuner and got good matches on all bands 80-10. No need to cut feedlines. The 2060A was rated at 2 kW AM input, or roughly 1 kW CW output. I never put 1 kW into it, but it worked fine at 700 W. Personally, I've always preferred manual tuners (such as the 2060A) to autotuners because they usually have greater tuning range, even if you cannot do instant QSY. 73 Ray W2RS _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
