Why is everybody fretting about these tests. I have the following...Elecraft
K3, TS590, ORION ll, OMNI Vll, Eagle, YAESU 5000......and in the real world I
can not tell the difference. Lab tests are one thing, but real world is

Well Lee, I think we can all agree,
It is not reasonable to expect ARRL to continually redo tests, if the
radios are no longer being produced. But, it is probably something they
should do with new SDR equipment, if updates make big changes. If specs
changed, they should re run tests on currently sold radios.
One thing is that they don't own all those radios, they buy one for
testing, and then sell it after the publishing of the review, in an
auction process, so they don't run out of lab space trying to store test
radios.
The best thing of all, is for hams to try out a radio they are
considering, or have enough faith in the maker of that radio to order
it. Some dealers and makers offer 30 day trial periods.
