All,
Japan used either to subsidize exports or gave exporters preferential currency
exchange rates. In any case Kenwood is a large company, makes many other
products and can subsidize some of their own products internally. Ten-Tec is
a small company and their volume can't be that large. I have nothing to do
with Ten-Tec but as a part owner of and manager of a smaller company competing
against much larger ones, I have experience on how the game is played.

Hans,
What is impressive is the lower cost Kenwood TS590S. It is in the all
"green." And, no I don't own any Kenwoods. Wish I did!

I thought the list might want to look at this as it puts several rigs ahead
of the Orion 2 in 2khz BDR. Toby W4CAK
