Check power connector and fuse holder?

Prime suspects. Check the voltage IN the radio under load. It probably needs 13.8 volts for full power.

A friend of mine in DL has trouble with his Orion I.

The output power is now at about 85 watts.

This is independent of band.

Small changes in the 13v supply has no influence on the power.

He does not know if this happened all at once or just started to decay
over
time.

I have advised him to try a second watt meter, dummy load, change coax,
etc., just to be sure it is the radio and not something else.

Grateful for any ideas or tips where we could look.

Tnx
