Martin,
Have you forgotten that Al Kahn was the founder of ElectroVoice?
Or that Ten-Tec excelled from the start with by far the cleanest audio, both
RX and TX in the industry?
Quoting from memory here but I believe it is accurate, while the clear
factor on most receivers in the industry was given as <10%, Ten-Tec was
quoting <2% !!!
Ten-Tec always had a focus on clean audio, though it dipped a bit with the
Omni V/VI series.
For years many have criticized Ten-Tec for poor marketing.
I certainly have.
They finally try something new and get criticized by their own fan club.
I find it dumb that it took them over 35 years to finally do this!
I welcome and applaud this new step.
And I'm a CW op.

Subject: [TenTec] Ten-Tec the SSB company?
It struck me dumb to see the 'Ten-Tec, the SSB company'. Our late Al
Kahn, K4FW, must turn in his grave...
Should it be a response to the no-code expansion? What's the TT's
strategy for the future? With lack of support of Orion (565), some less
sophisticated solutions (no memory tuner in 565, some software
glitches...) will TT also leave the tradition of great CW features?
