An all Ten Tec solution is available for the Orion. It may also work on the Omni VII. I have it working on my system now. Ten Tec makes (and sold me) a 311 converter that converts the signals output from the Omni into the band signals for the 253. The Ten Tec cable lacks a wire for one band region, but Larry's Cables will provide a cable that performs the function.
