Last time mine broke, my XYL has something in her sewing box which worked
just fine.
Even though I am in the US and could have ordered from Ten-Tec, it broke
just 6 hours before the start of CQWW.
I put it in with the idea of it being temporary, but it seems to work just
fine!

Subject: [TenTec] elastic cord specs?
Does anyone have the specifications for the elastic cord used in the
slide rule type dials? I have an Argonaut 509 in need of a replacement
cord.
Not being in the US, ordering from Ten-Tec, or buying the equivalent
which was discussed here from Wal-Mart are not options.
I don't need the dial cord itself, just the elastic.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Geoff.

New word I coined 12/13/09, "Sub-Wikipedia" adj, describing knowledge
or understanding, as in he has a sub-wikipedia understanding of the
situation. i.e possessing less facts or information than can be found
in the Wikipedia.
