Regarding Gary's remark about about making contacts with the power  
turned off, I couldn't resist a comment. There must be a lot of  
stations operating with their receivers off. I hear them when trying  
to work a DX station that says "up 1". They keep calling on the DX  
station's frequency and wonder why they can't work the DX.
