John, Elecraft is a ham radio company. Ten Tec has many more products and divisions to run with their staff, of which ham radio is but one part. Most any diversified company is going to have to juggle projects. Elecraft has 3 radios, and some one board kits. Ten Tec's own ham radio line is much larger in numbers of models alone, not to mention kits, enclosures, government projects, vector analyzer, etc. Ten Tec has a much broader company structure which has given them the stability to survive in ham radio while Heath is gone, Collins, Hallicrafters, and other well known names.
