Folks,
Thanks for all the suggestions about alternate power sources and
filtering. Went back and really took a hard look at my ground connection to
the
vehicle and it was not good. Good rid of much of the offending noise with a
good ground connection. Not perfect, but workable. Just another senior
moment.
LOL. Got the ARGO V on 40 cw this am, mobile, and worked all over Eastern
US with only 15 watts. Love this rig, but wish it had an RF gain control
and then it would be perfect. Simple really is good. jim, K4CFA
