I once had a Triton IV that had an intermittent low transmit output as you
describe. I cured the problem by pushing down on the IF filter board. These
filter assemblies are mounted on small circuit boards that plug into another
board. Apparently the filter board plugs weren't making good contact. It worked
fine after that, with full power output.
