What I would go for is a box that has the looks and feel of a (real not virtual) radio (a tuning dial, knobs and switches) but connects via the internet or other medium to a remote station (consisting of the antenna and rf interface). That certain tactile feeling I like seems to be lost when a mouse and screen are in the middle, and any latency (audio or keying) involved detracts from the activity. Pie in the sky? 73 Chas W3KC _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
