To tell when the roofing filters kick in:
First make sure you have the roofing filter setting to AUTO in the Filter
Menu.
There is a line above the display showing the filter width. It represents
the roofing filter width. When you hit a certain DSP filter width the line
shrinks to show the new roofing filter width. The DSP trigger width used to
be
much narrower than the roofing filter but now they correspond pretty
closely. It used to take about an 800 hz DSP width to trigger the 1Khz
roofing
filter.
You may also hear a change in the noise when the roofing filter kicks in.
You can also manually set the roofing filter to be in all the time in the
Filter menu. You should see the line change and the hear the noise change
when
you go from one setting to another.
