Logger32 works with the modified RS-232 interface. The Omni V.9 is even in the
list of radios you can opt to use. I tested it briefly with an earlier
version before that and it had no problem putting the frequency into the log.
I am lazy and I still use my old beta version of Hyperlog Pro, incomplete and
no longer developed/supported, and that works fine within the limitations of
the hardware/software.
I guess that any programme capable of talking to an ICOM CIV interface.should
work, to some extent at least. But unless you have a programme written
specifically for the features of a particular radio, your mileage will always
vary. But in this case, the V.9 chip and hardware mod makes the difference
between being able to use the Omni V RS-232 port and not being able to do
much if anything with it. I have never seen a programme that could control
the original TT interface.
