I find that the real problem can be with drivers. When I ordered my Belken it
came with a CD with the driv ers. You much not hook up the cable till you have
installed the drivers or you may have problems. Mine worked very nicely and I
use Ham Radio Deluxe software. The CD is from I O Gear.

You will note the Belkin ad does not claim compatibility with XP. On
several XP computers I had blue screens of death which after a lot of
investigation led back to the Belkin. Not everyone has this problem. I did
not have it when I was still running Windows 98. The Belkin does support 5
bit RTTY. Most others do not.
