The placement or position of the carrier on the slope of the SSB filter will
greatly affect the low frequency response and in addition, it can affect the
carrier suppression too.
Check the manual for the specific radio and be sure to use a very accurate
frequency counter. Adjustment needs to be absolute within 10 Hz or better.
While you are in there, check all of the BFO oscillators.
