Josh,
Read your last note with interest. I just acquired a Titan 425 that has been
sitting for around 15 years and am carefully going through it before applying
power. I have read in some threads that the Titan fan is quite noisy. Do you
have any information as to whether or not the fan you have just described will
work in the Titan 425. If not maybe you or other members may have some
suggestions. I will probably post another note Re. Titan 425 mods.
Thanks,
Jason KN7AZ

Hi Joel. This is a HOT thread. Several have ask about the Centaur
fan replacement. The one I used is the Mouser part #5912-4800X.
57.1 CFM @ 1750 RPM. (www.mouser.com<http://www.mouser.com/>). I think the
key is
1750 RPM, most are 3100. Works well for me, but less CFM's will
probably work FB too. As to power, I do not have a good reference.
The 811's were soft when I got the Centaur used. I run the 572B's at
300 to 500 wts. If more is needed I go to the Titan III. The 572B's
are a matched set of 3, Taylor from RF Parts. Hope this helps.
