My 85 year old friend is Ted, K5LGJ, who lives in Shrevesport, La. and I
have been talking with him probably 15 years. It seems like he probably
picked up QRQ when he was in his sixties. We still chit-chat just about
every Saturday and Sunday morning on 7.033 about 7:30 am EST.
The other 'senior citizen' is Lyle, W9FCX and he and I normally get on that
same frequency and time just about every weekday morning. However he is
going to be off the air for a while (a week or so) because he just had
surgery on both hands. Lyle is 80 years old and does quite good up to
almost 80 wpm.
