Well, I'll be doggone! If I turn the Orion's sidetone all the way off and the volume all the way down - sending CW into a dummy load - I can hear a clickity click coming from under the rig that's nearly as loud as the paddles. And just a little louder than the meter in the dummy load. But with the volume up so I can hear a caller - and the sidetone up so I can hear what I'm sending, I had not noticed it. I guess if I find a quieter set of paddles it might bug me. But not yet. 73 Pete Allen AC5E -- Never squat with your spurs on _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
