When I have installed my tower, I might just put a vertical loop up to
compare with the horizontal.
I need the tower as a support, otherwise I would already have one up.
My garden / yard is 60ft x 30ft, not exactly palatial!
I was listening to a W0 on 20m this evening at approx 22:00.
He was S7-9 QSB on the Butternut vertical, but 9+20 on the loop with little
QSB.. was working 2 VK's that I couldn't hear on either antenna.
I keep looking for parts to make a proper balanced tuner, but of course now
that I want some there are none going cheap at hamfests.
