Well,
This may be a result of not having a standard, regression test list and full
formal procedure for testing firmware after many program changes before
releasing it.
I have seen times when customers can become gun shy very quickly and NOT even
try new versions until they have been in the field for a long time.
Fortunately for us we can easily go back to what worked before.
I'm sure they will get better at it, as they do care very much about the
quality of work they do.
Every time I have contacted TT they have been very helpful, even when asking
about older discontinued products (like the Centaur I just got).
If you saw the kind of code they are writing, you might say, 'Oh my gosh this
is very complicated code they are dealing with'
I have worked with mico-code and other SW defined hardware controls (IBM
equipment) and it has lots of complex issues to address.
I applaud TT for the leading (and maybe a little bleeding) edge product they
are producing in the Orion!
OH! By the way I am still running 1.366. I have had absolutely no failures of
any kind on my Orion since I got it in November. I love using it!
I have now decided to sell my 746PRO, and its a fine radio, just never turn
it on, seems like I always want to use Orion. -:)

Lee
