John, I just purchased a Centurion 422B new from TT. I can't say enough
good things about this amp. I am using two GAP verticals, a Titan and the
Voyager. Both exhibit fairly good SWR and the amp loads them nicely. I am
getting a conservative KW to the antenna without driving the amp to maximum.
If I were you, I'd opt for the 422 and the 3-500's. Great amp, easy to
tune, and built like a tank.
