Ref, the discussions here about used bandwidth.

How about the occupied bandwidth of the "comming"
ditital audio signals. Per Doug Smith's web site, a
unit is now on the market, a gadget called an
ARD9800, being built by AOR USA, Inc. see:

http://www.aorusa.com/ard9800.html

As I gather from the description and specs given, this
"digital SSB" signal will fully occupy 3 kHz of bandwidth
using 36 separate PSK carries for all the needed info!!

Wonder what sort of "bagpipes" that will sound like when
you happen to tune across one? Can hardly wait to
hear one. And talk about 60 meter tuning needing to be
accurate; evidently to demodulate and hold a QSO, both
ends must be "precisely" on the same frequent -- wonder
where in the 3 kHz spread of PSK carriers you need to
be, hi. The signal is also near 100% duty cycle as with
all PSK.
