Hi Dave: I try to work as much Dri-Slide as possible into the bearings and put
a very little on the coil itself. My 253's quieted down with a bearing lube and
I don't trust a conducting lubricant around RF all that much.

On that, I'm about like the old boy who sat down at the carnival cookhouse and
told the cook he wanted everything on his burger but just let the bun smell of
the mustard jar. A small dot of Dri-Slide on the top of each turn on the coil
and let dry will soon work its way over all of the conducting parts of the
inductor without getting between turns where it might short something out.
