I really like John's method of selling.
If I remember correctly from a business law class I took once, you need two
things to have a binding contract: 1) an offer, and 2) acceptance.
Once someone has offered to buy something for the advertised price, the seller
should be very clear in his response. If the seller is not accepting the offer
yet, he should come right out and say so, to avoid any misunderstandings.
If the seller accepts the offer, but with conditions (payment by a certain
date), he should state the conditions clearly and ask the buyer to confirm that
he agrees with those conditions.
