Mine was shipped from San Marcos, CA. But I think I phoned
my order to Florida.

My CD disk which came with the unit had corrupted files, and
was of no use at all! I downloaded the software via K8CU's
site on the web at:

Nope, no mods to the 340 needed, at all. Just a BNC to
BNC jumper cable between the two units; goes into J2
on the back of the 340, right under the 340 BNC antenna
input connector. With the 340 operating, as soon as you
connect the two units, the EXT REF lite on the front panel
of the 340 lights up. Oops, be sure the hp box is locked
to the GPS standards; indicated by the GPS LOCK light
on the hp unit being lit.
Have fun! Wonder if there is a way to inject this standard
into the Orion; anyone figure a way yet, hi?
