Which reminds me, does anyone know if the shape factor
can be changed? There are times when you might like to do
that and it should be simple with DSP...i.e. a wider shape
factor to catch people who call off frequency.
Also, the Filter Menu - IF Selection (fig 2-24 in the
.pdf manual) shows "500 Hz Correction" and "250 Hz Correction"
in addition to the enabling switches. Does anyone know what
these do? I can't seem to find any reference in the text.
Regarding the roofing filters, there is a 15 kHz filter
available which must be for FM. Does anyone know if that
filter can be manually selected for CW? I know that auto-
selection can be disabled but they might not allow the 15 kHz
filter except for FM. This would be an excellent way to
demonstrate the effect of narrow versus wide roofing filters
on IMDDR3, BDR, IP, etc. If it can be enabled, ARRL could
compare the effect, keeping everything else constant when
they do the Product Review tests...hint, hint to KC1SX ;-).
