Yes, living out here, the time I save is NOT having to
go about the entire house changing all the clocks/watches
twice a year! Another blessing of living in Paradise.
At our latitude, there really is not a big difference
in day/night lengths throughout the year. Part of the
definition of being in the tropics: the Sun actually stands
exactly at your local zenith twice per year, that is, no
shadows are cast on the ground. On Kauai this occurs
in late May. From then on, until early July, the Sun is
actually North of our zenith at local noon.
