If the S-meter is moving, then the IF stages and detector are working. The failure has to be in the audio. Could be most any audio stage, including notch filter, peaking filter, bad switch on the speaker jack, bad speaker. With only one filter be sure the filter switch is in the upper most position. Be sure the bandpass tuning is straight up. Be sure its not transmitting. It won't receive much with the one standard filter removed. And there should be two such filters, one for 9 and one for 6.3 MHz. |
