Just did a couple of Ten Tec PTO's today, and I learn a little every time!
I find the white teflon fortified bike grease the very best in there. I
did try using a self cleaning lubricant, "white lightning" and it seemed
to rejuvinate a PTO I did not want to take out of the box, ... but then in
a few days the lubricant was so good that the PTO slipped like crazy! I
do not recommend it except for a cleaner that you can wipe off when you
get in there to remove parts and apply new lubricant.
