Hey, at least they TRY to do a review - not like CQ mag where the company
ad writer might as well provide the copy!

I always thought thatthe Delta II review as a little harsh. If it
had gotten a better review I might have bought one instead of a
Paragon. Its sad that there is no editorial review process.
However, I think that QST has been biased in favor of import rigs
for years. I've seen glaring deficiencies minimized in the reviews.
Also, a radio can fall victim to the reviewer's peresonal preferences.
For example, QST did not like the Drake R8 because the ergonomics
were not deemed suitable for contesting. Well, boys and girls, the
R8 was designed as an SWL receiver, not a contest machine.
Forunately today we have this reflector, so in the absence of "try
before buy", we can at least ask someone who owns one.
