My Omni 6 came back from the OPT 3 upgrade considerably tighter
than when it went in. Loosening the hex nut on the encoder just
behind the knob made it eadier to turn again. I suspect that
every now and then the assembler at TT has Wheaties for breakfast
and overtightens the retaining nut distorting the assembly enough
to cause binding. That would be a good step to tool up with a
torque watch.
