Hello,

I have three LPT ports, and want to use them as efficiently as possible. =
=20

I was going to use LPT1 for Radio 1's band output data and cw output to =
circuit B in Top Ten Box 1, and Footswitch input

LPT2 for Radio 2's band output data and cw output to circuit B in Top =
Ten Box 2, and Relay Control Port output.

LPT3 for CW Paddle Input.

Realizing I am a TR newbie, Here are my questions:

1). I understand that Relay Control and Paddle Input cannot share an LPT =
because both need pin 14. Is it also true that Footswitch Input and =
Paddle Input cannot share an LPT because both need pullup resistors to =
pin 14?

2). Coming from my footswitch, I understand to connect the hot to pin =
15...which pin do I connect the shield/ground to, is it 18, 25, or =
another pin? If it is 25, will the Footswitch Input then interfere with =
LPT1's outgoing band data that uses pin 25?

3). Likewise, for the Relay Control Output, I understand that the hot is =
pin 15...which pin do I connect the shield/ground to, is it 18, 25, or =
another pin? If it is 25, will the Relay Control output then interfere =
with LPT2's outgoing band data that uses 25?

Thanks for your help and have a happy holiday.

73, Scott=20
