OK, I guess you win. CT seems totally unable to realiably do all the
2 radio stuff and NA on my 486-66 operates at glacial speed.
I downloaded the demo of TR today, and it seems to do all I need:
read each radio's frequency and control both of the TopTen relay boxes.
However, after getting used to CTs superb frequency readout from
my OMNI VI+s I have become accustomed to reading the frequency from
the PC Monitor, not the rig. In TR, the update is apparently only
once per second so that I find it annoying while tuning up and down the
band. Furthermore, at this time I only have one serial cable (still
in the testing mode). So, when I use ALT-R to switch radios, I find
that the frequency disappears (no radio to read the frequency from) and
there appears to be a one second delay on switching back to the first
radio before a frequency shows up.
Question:
I am concerned that during heavy use of ALT-R (perhaps in a two radio
S&P mode), the frequency and the Radio 1/Radio 2 box will get out of
sync. Is this what will happen? Is there any way to provide faster
frequency update, such as CT has?
