Probably more than you really wanted to know, or "hear"....
And calls ending in "K" confuse folks on whether is is part of the call or the
"go ahead" signal.?
Too bad K4KBX is already taken....but N4KBX & W4KBX are open.
Try to avoid pairs of letters that resemble a letter, such as NN=C, NT=K, AT=W,
MA=Q, etc. And I really like the flow of X as Gordon says. It has the same
elements as P and Z but just sounds faster and I've never seen NA confused with
X but don't get NAX! A close friend is N5MP yet N5MX sounds much faster on CW.?
Having been N5FL for almost 19 years, I much prefer the speed of it over W5JR
(and the rhythm of K... is even better) but could not pass up the opportunity
to get my initials (despite going by my middle name) and match my Dad's suffix
- K5JR. Others also had difficulty sending "FL" correctly despite copying it
OK.?
For me personally, I find it easier to send letters that begin with a dah than
those that start with a dit, YMMV. ?

I agree totally.
?You are a General get a 1x3. There are over 3000 available in the 4th district
most of them immediately available according to www.vanityhq.com
Even you're initials are available but that might be worse that KB4KBS .. sfs
is confusion in waiting..
I don't like E I or H.
General rule is the shorter the better.
Double letters are nice.
Some of my favorites are S and X.
I've seen spreadsheets somewhere that weight the call.
I made one myself when looking for a call.. N is shorter than W or K
I tried for N4GM but got beat in the lottery.
