Some of you are not reporting your time in the contest to me and you may
find the comparison of scores more interesting if you have the time.
K4ZGB said that his logging program doesn't compute time for some
contests. Mine does for all contests, but it is often very inaccurate.
I find that it take only a few minutes to scroll through the log and
come up with a number that is pretty accurate for the time. I use the
rules of the contest, if they have one (some have minimum off periods of
one hour or six hours, for example). If the rules call for 30 minute
minimum off periods, or if they make no provisions for off-periods,
which they will not do if there is no limitation on operating time), I
usually use the half hour rule. Anytime, I make no QSO in this contest
for 30 minutes or more, I deduct the time. If it is a very short
contest, two hours or less, I may deduct smaller times so that my report
might show 24 minutes for example, if I missed six minutes of time
during the 30 and I was not actually operating that time. If I was
operating, such as maybe the last 15 minutes of a two hour QRP sprint, I
show it as operating time on. That way, I think we can compare times on
the air in some meaningful and I can report my times to 3830 as well. It
is certainly not required, but if you give report your approximate on
the air time, I will include that information in in the scores each week.

This week's contests:

1. NCCC Thursday night sprints. SNS slow speed. 0200-0220+ UTC
Friday. 20, 40, 80M CW. Limit power to 100W. Limit speed to 18 WPM
for the first 10 minutes and to 26 WPM thereafter. One kHz QSY rule.
Exhange: both calls, number, name, SPC. 0230-0254Z NS without speed
limit. Otherwise, the rules are the same as for SNS except that 160M
band is added.

2. All Asian DX Contest, CW. 48 hours of Sat and Sun UTC. 160-10M CW.
Exchange: RST + 2 digit age (or "00" for YLs). 20M should be good
during our mornings and late at night if we are lucky. There may be
some 15M openings, but don't count on them. 40M should be good for some
JAs in the early mornings and for Western Asia in the early evenings at
or just after our sundown.

3. West Virginia QSO Party. 16Z Sat to 02Z Sun. 80-10M CW, SSB.
Exchange: RS(T) + SPC or WV County. Bonus points for QSO with W8WVA
and for working a WV mobile in 5 counties.

4. SMIRK Club Contest. 48 hours of Sat and Sun UTC. 6M CW/Phone.
Exchange: SMIRK# (optional) + 4 digit grid square. 6M conditions were
so good last Saturday that it would be worth checking 6M during this
annual contest also.

5. Kid's Day Contest: 18-24Z Sat. 80-6M SSB + 2M SSB or FM repeaters.
Exchange: Name + age + QTH + favorite color. The ARRL link to rules
for this contest results is a "page not found" message here.

6. Flying Pigs QRP Club June Run for the Bacon. Sunday night local
time, 01-03Z Monday. 160-10M QRP CW. Exchange: RST + SPC + FP# or
power output.

Hope everyone one has a nice week and weekend and makes a lot of QSOs.
I'll try to give out QSOs in any of the contests that I hear activity
in. Obviously, some family time will be required for Father's Day and
I'll have some yard work to do also. I should be QRV for all of the FP
RFTB Sunday night unless we have more thunderstorms in the area.

73, John, K4BAI.
