Comments:

Just a bit of time on and off. I literally would walk into the shack,
operate for a while and then leave. This didn't leave a lot of time
to cruise around the bands at all, I only worked 20 and 40m.

I did manage to get on and make a few runs, which was a lot of fun. I
even got into a good European run on Sunday afternoon -- I was
surprised the band was still open, since it was clearly after dark in
Europe.

Had one weird moment right near the end of the contest. I had been
calling CQ on a frequency on 40m for about 5 minutes, when I heard a
signal about 20 Hz away from me. I decoded this as 4L8A calling CQ! I
continued to run for about 20 minutes. It was really interesting that
we weren't really interfering with each other - he was working
stations in Europe, myself in NA. After that, I decided I needed to
QRT, so first I called 4L8A and was delighted to score a
contact. Thanks!
