There is a contingent in ham radio (as in other parts of life) who seem to
regard vociferous argument as an integral part of the hobby.  If these guys
had their way, the written exam would have to include questions on arrogance
and snarky argument techniques.  I don't think there are a lot of them, but
they're good at making lots of noise and for some reason they seem to clump
together, making it seem like there are more of them than there really are.
