I agree with Dick, K2UFT that the current Management is doing a good job.
And yes commercial space is too expensive to support a hamfest. The Georgia
International Center in Gwinnett County would cost $40 per ham if and only
if 5,000 would attend. They charge $1,000 just for clean up.
Using public sites is the only way to go. There is nothing wrong with Jim
Miller Park or the Gwinnett Fair Grounds.
Its up to hams within 200 miles to support hamfests...attendance beyond that
is gravy.
