K4BAI,

My radio has 4 filters.

455 XF-115S 2.6KHZ (not sure about this one)

8.2 XF-8.2M-262.01 2.6 SSB
          XF-8.2M-501-03 500 CW

The 2 8.2 filters are soldered. I think the 500 cw is the one everyone
recommends moving to the sub rcvr. I am like you. I didn't realize it would be
soldered in. I have found some more info on the web and apparently you can put
any filter in any slot, so i am going to ignore the board markings.

I bought the radio used. It has a inrad filter marked for a ft920 2.1 khz in
the 2if (8.2) in the 2.0 slot. So I will probably leave that there and put the
2 400 filters in the 250 slots until I get more filters..

My source of consusion is I read to move the Collins mechanical filter to the
sub rcvr. My radio has a XF-115S which i think is a 2.6 ssb. The manual shows a
XF-115C on page 100 which is a 500 filter but my radio doesn't have one ..
I can't find anything on the 115s on the internet but a coincidence someone
posted a message asking the same question on the ft1000mp yahoo group.

I have to run to a meeting..
Gordon
